Led by a group of senior medical students and doctors, Amar Doctor is a health education project to improve the lives of Bangladeshi women in the UK.

We know that:

​

• Bangladeshis are at a 80% higher risk of death due to coronavirus than those of White British ethnicity

• Bangladeshi immigrants have the worst health outcomes in the UK

• Bangladeshi women, in particular, have poorer health than their male counterparts.

We would like to change this. 

​

Our free, online workshops are hosted by Bengali doctors in Bangla/Sylheti. We will cover topics ranging from breast cancer, gynaecology, healthy lifestyle and mental health. There will be a Q&A at the end of each session.
