Sleep Pioneers is a health education project aimed at improving the sleep and wellbeing of young people in schools in East London. Having good sleep is vitally important to health, educational attainment and mental wellbeing. Poor sleep is linked to serious health problems including heart disease and type 2 diabetes, and can even reduce your life expectancy.
Sleep Pioneers aims to support schools to improve the sleep of their young people through educational programmes, practical advice and resources. We hope to empower young people to improve their own sleep hygiene, and will also support parents/carers and teachers to help them to do so.
